I'm so sorry. I haven't crawled under a rock and forgotten about you, just been in between apartments and now that I'm finally settled, I want to return to writing here as much as I can. I was thinking about how much time I used to give to this blog and the magazine, as I was walking to work, and it was a funny feeling seeing how much life can change in only a matter of a few months. I now walk past the Chelsea Hotel every day, and I can't help feeling very nostalgic and yet hopeful about how the city, people, and even me will see things come and go, for better or for worse. I'm babbling again, perhaps because I've gotten more than enough sleep this weekend. I really missed my bed.

OK, time to celebrate tonight though. Seriously, come out to Pianos. I want to see all your faces!

Square Wave Punch @ BTR Live

Ahh. It's been such a crazy week, and it's only Wednesday. My goodness. Life is about to change pretty drastically in the next couple weeks, so let me apologize in advance if I seem a bit scatterbrained. I'll let you in on some good news soon, but until then let's get down to business.

Square Wave Punch came into the BTR Studios for a live set that was nothing short of fantastic. Seriously, this band is what Tyra Banks calls fierce (and I mean that in the best of ways). I keep getting blown away from their songs each time I hear them, and their live set is just as good as the recordings.

Square Wave Punch will be playing Ace of Clubs next Saturday (February 10). Rumor is they are also playing a Battering Room show in the near future as well.

Tonight! Square Wave Punch @ Ace Of Clubs

I'm heading down to DC tonight to see the family, but if I was in town, you bet I'd be here.

Both Square Wave Punch and Jupiter One are fantastic bands, so it's pretty frickin cool that they are playing a show together. Square Wave Punch was named band of the week not too long ago, and even kicked off our special CMJ acoustic radio show last week. Don't say I didn't tell you so when this band blows up.

I was just reading this very old blog post of the last time I saw Jupiter and laughed at how funny my life was at the time. [Chuckles]

Anyway, Jupiter One is a really awesome eclectic band that is not to be missed. It's been far too long since the last time I saw them, and unfortunately I'll have to wait a little while more. Jupiter One's song "Countdown" just won 2nd place at the New York Songwriter's Circle competition from 4000 submissions. Congrats to them.

Go tonight. Let me live vicariously through you.
