Last night we hit up The Roxy (which has become my favorite spot in London) for some half price pitchers and some good tunes to dance to. We've only gone on Thursdays but Tuesdays were known to be as good...which wasn't exactly the case. Not the greatest music, but Katie finally got to hear her Faint song (after 6 weeks, mind you). We were just about to head out when The Editors came on, which then resulted in the best three songs in a row ever.
The Editors - Munich
David Bowie - Magic Dance (from the fabulous film, Labyrinth)
Arcade Fire - Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)
Frickin fantastic.
I'll go to a show tonight, I promise. I know I've been slacking. But I booked my ticket to see Donnie Darko play at Kensington Gardens this Saturday as my farewell to London. It's sponsored by Stella (mmm) and will have a live orchestra performing the score, conducted by the fabulous Michael Andrews. Then off to Paris then next day, ooh la la.
I still have Dance Magic Dance stuck in my head. I wish I had Labyrinth to watch right now.
